• What is up with the different phone number I get GPWA calls from?

We have upgraded our telephone system so we can connect all office locations together.  The phone service provider is making some upgrades to coordinate calls getting to the correct office, and showing the correct information on your caller ID.  We can transfer calls between offices, advisors and assistants.  If your intended contact is not available, please leave a voice message.  Please do NOT leave trading instructions on a voice mail, they will not be executed. If you want to make a trade or have an urgent matter, please make direct contact with a GPWA advisor or associate.

  • How do I get set up for online access to my Schwab accounts?

Please call and speak to one of our client service associates for instructions, guidance and assistance.  If your normal contact is not available, please ask any questions to the service assistant that is available.  If needed, we can take a message and have the person of your choice call you back.  In many instances, the answer may be close at the hand of whomever you are speaking to and the need to wait for a call back may be unnecessary, but that is your choice.

  • Do I have to create a Schwab online access?

YES, by registering for online access on Schwab Alliance, clients will be able to view statements, and will be able to sign Schwab documents as needed to update account information.

  • How do I get set up for online access to my consolidated holdings using Orion?

Please call and speak to one of our client service associates for instructions, guidance and assistance.  If your normal contact is not available, please ask any questions to the service assistant that is available.  If needed, we can take a message and have the person of your choice call you back.  In many instances, the answer may be close at the hand of whomever you are speaking to and the need to wait for a call back may be unnecessary, but that is your choice.

  • My REITs seemed to move to Schwab, then back to Kestra. What is up? Where are my REIT investments?

Real Estate Investment Trusts are considered alternative investments that require special handling when moving from one brokerage firm’s account to a different brokerage firm’s account.  We asked that ALL holdings in each client’s account be transferred. Charles Schwab & Co. sent the request for transfer of ALL holdings.  Kestra Financial (and NFS), in particular, and possibly LPL Financial, attempted to send all assets.  When received, Schwab did not receive a specific required document from the prior firm authorizing the move of the REITs and rejected those specific REIT positions.  So, temporally those positions remained at the prior firm waiting on a specific form to be included with the REIT transfer requests. The addition of this form and the follow-up transfer request of the REIT positions has/is being processed.  The Gaddis Premier Wealth Advisors team became aware of this glitch and has been keeping a close watch to assure all REIT positions end up transferred as requested.  This slowed the process of gathering ALL holdings, but it was a short term pause which has now been completed for most clients and for those not complete yet, we are watching and reconciling the accounts to verify everything came over properly.

  • Is my account insured?

Accounts held at Charles Schwab & Co. and at Private Client Services continue to have the same SIPC insurance coverage as all SIPC member firms (like Kestra Financial and LPL Financial).  The Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) protects customers if their brokerage firm fails. Brokerage firm failures are rare. SIPC protects against the loss of cash and securities – such as stocks and bonds – held by a customer at a financially-troubled SIPC-member brokerage firm. The limit of SIPC protection is $500,000, which includes a $250,000 limit for cash. https://www.sipc.org/for-investors/introduction

  • Should I worry about my periodic investments/withdrawals or auto deposits?

Prior to moving assets, all Gaddis & Gaddis Wealth Management and Premier Investment Advisor service associates took great efforts to maintain any periodic investment and withdrawal connections.  We continue to reconcile accounts in an effort to verify all links are still in place.  If you find a link is broken and an investment or a withdrawal is not processed timely, please call us and we will work to fix it as quickly as possible.
